Qi Condensation. Foundation. Basic training. In today’s world, only these three areas are feasible. Nascent Soul is only a legend and the kingdoms above it have been lost to the long river of time. The modern era is known as Civilization through culture, a balance between power and civility, excess and moderation. Although culture remains a secret practice, it has long since been exposed to the mundane world, intimately intertwined with all facets of society. While the world seems to be at peace, a conflict between a human, a farmer and a demon is hiding behind it, preparing for centuries and waiting to implode. Yet, as a result of the rapid industrialization of humanity, qi – and therefore culture – is dying.

Besieged on all sides by the demon and the human, our protagonist, Xu Yangyi, is striving to reach the summit, armed only with esoteric knowledge and his cold pragmatism, and avenge the unjust death of his two parents. Drawn into a conspiracy and faced with difficulties at every turn, he is powerless in his conquest to seek the Great Dao and free himself from the shackles of this world, claiming his title of pioneer of an era!
