Ch 2144
“Nnnnh! Aaaah! No! Supervisor! Stop!” Lin Xingqing cried out with a convincing rhythm as tears continued streaking down her face. “Don’t force me!” she cried, following it up with a loud shriek.
“That’s some impressive acting.” Tianming was so impressed that he shot her a thumbs-up. He looked down and found that the teapot had been taken away by Lin Xingqing some time back. It was a simple plot, but he hadn’t expected that they would try it on his first day there!
The girl, who was feigning being violated, used her astralforce to wreck the furniture in the cultivation room, causing quite a lot of commotion. Her entire body was bruised and reddened. Coupled with her tears, she looked incredibly pitiful. Then she rammed the entrance of the cultivation room and burst out of it. The commotion had attracted quite a lot of people.
“Save me! Someone!” she yelled as she scrambled farther away. Other things aside, her acting was far better than Mu Qingqing’s had been.
“Sister Xingqing?! What’s going on?!” Nobody else had been on the ninth floor, but four Lin Clan girls rushed up when they heard the commotion. Upon seeing Lin Xingqing crawling sobbing out of the sealed cultivation room, they immediately jumped to the only conclusion they could have.
“Is it Lin Feng?! Our new supervisor?!”
“Get Sister Xingqing some clothes to wear first!”
The four girls hurriedly pulled Lin Xingqing into their arms as she flailed like a wild octopus. Turning and looking behind her, she cried out in a hoarse voice, “Run! Run, quick!”
Ebonia was a prosperous world with many defensive divine artifacts that could take the form of beautiful dresses that could be put on with a quick sweep. Yet Lin Xingqing had taken her time to get dressed, ensuring that as many people as possible in the growing audience saw her.
“What happened?!”
The entire department had been shaken by the chaos. It had already resumed operation, and there were thousands of customers in the lower eight floors. They all took notice.
“Fighting is forbidden in all properties of the corporation! Who would dare do this?”
“It sounds like a girl’s crying….”
“Let’s go up and take a look!”
Many people, whether they be Lin Clan disciples or customers, swarmed to the ninth floor.
“Sister Xingqing, don’t panic! You don’t have to run. This is the corporation’s property, and nobody will be allowed to mess around, not even Lin Mu’s son!”
“Sister Xingqing, it’s okay now! It’s fine! Don’t cry!”
The four girls beside her seemed to panic and began shedding tears.
“What in the world is happening?!”
A whole group of people got to the ninth floor and saw Lin Xingqing surrounded by others as she got dressed, her body covered in bloody marks and hair disheveled as she made a convincing act of crying, still eyeing the open door of the cultivation room with fear as she backed away. Who in the world was inside?
“Lin Feng… Lin Feng tried to violate me… I….” Lin Xingqing’s face paled even more. She stood up in a hurry, then turned to the customers and bowed. “We’re very sorry for the disruption…. I’m fine….”
“Lin Feng? Lin Mu’s son? Wasn’t there news about him across Ebonia over the past two days?”
“What is the meaning of this?”
“You fool! It’s huge news! A clan scandal! Lin Feng’s inside the cultivation room! He tried to violate this poor maiden!”
“What in the world? How dare the son of a sinner act so brazenly? Is there no justice in this world?”
“You wouldn’t know, but his grandparents protected him when he was brought to the Myriadsword Mausoleum. Anyone that dares to touch their grandson will have their entire family murdered. How could grandparents like them not have a spoiled grandson?”
“Even so, he can’t make a mess of the clan’s business, right? Now that something like this happened, the entire clan’s reputation has been ruined by a single playboy disciple.”
“Even now, Lin Mu’s son is still hiding without daring to come out. Looks like the truth is clear. Let’s just sit and watch the show.”
Customers from all over gathered in anticipation, forgetting their original shopping goals in favor of the drama. It wasn’t like the Lin Clan could chase their customers out, either. In fact, the customers even spread the news to their friends and asked them to come. Lin Xingqing was more than pleased with what was going on.
“Everything’s fine, don’t misunderstand,” Lin Xingqing said, standing up and almost stumbling. She hurriedly turned to the other Lin Clan girls and said, “Quick, escort our customers downstairs.”
“Sister Xingqing, you’ve just been humiliated! Why’re you thinking about calming the situation down right now?”
“Our clan has rules. Even the son of heaven will face the same consequences of breaking them as a normal person! Why should we fear him just because he’s the heir of the primary line? He doesn’t own the second branch!”
“That’s right! Sister, he’s gone too far. It’s only his first day as supervisor, yet he tried to violate you in the cultivation room. If we let him off, what’ll we do when he turns his attention to us?!”

“He must be punished!”
The other girls seemed to act rather convincingly, too. They said those words in a crying tone, and the longer they went on, the angrier they sounded. Their performance instantly brought the audience to their side. Who would believe the son of a sinner over a group of poor girls huddled together, especially when that son didn’t even dare to show his face?
“Tsk tsk, Lin Mu’s son just showed up not long ago, yet he’s already starting to behave like his dad. What a joke.”
“Let’s see how the old folks of the second branch deal with this scandal.”
“Attempting to violate a subordinate on his first day as supervisor? The audacity….”
The more people came, the more panicked Lin Xingqing’s expression became.
At that moment, a group of youths in blue robes rushed up, faces stern.
“Make way, everyone. We’re part of the Myriadsword Patrol.”
“Thank you! Thank you! Apologies for disrupting your shopping with us. We’ll give all of you a small gift to make up for the inconvenience. I ask for your understanding.”
The youths were incredibly polite to the guests.
“Quickly give Lin Feng what he deserves!”
“The Patrol’s here! It’s over for him!”
“The Lin Clan’s famous for its house rules! With proof and witnesses, there’s no wriggling out of it.”
“A gift along with a good show? This is brilliant!”
The customers were so happy that they didn’t seem the least bit annoyed that their shopping had been interrupted. As they watched, the youths of the Myriadsword Patrol surrounded Lin Xingqing. A tall and slender youth with a grave look began the questioning.
“It’s okay, I’m fine. I managed to push him back and he didn’t do anything. Let this matter go, please. Don’t spread this and ruin the name of our branch.” Lin Xingqing seemed willing to let the matter go in consideration of the bigger picture.
“Sister Xingqing, you’re still considering the branch’s reputation even under such circumstances, yet why didn’t the heir of the branch think about that reputation when he decided to mess with you?”
“That cripple has no respect for the rules at all! He’s only one level stronger than you, yet he dared to mess with you. If you don’t stand up for yourself, what’ll our weaker sisters do in the future?”
They said that loudly enough that the customers would overhear.
“I heard that Lin Mu’s son is already a hundred years old, yet he’s only a twelfth-level solarian. So much for an heir.”
“Did you hear that? He was even pushed back by someone weaker than him! That’s the laughable part! Hahaha!”
“Enough! We’ve already gathered enough facts to know what really happened here,” said the blue-robed youth.
“Please, help Sister Xingqing and properly deal with this matter,” said the other four girls in unison.
“A crime always necessitates a punishment, no matter who committed it. However, I need you to be witnesses,” the young patrol member said.
“We witnessed it with our own eyes!”
The seven patrol members had put up a complete performance with the help of those five girls from the second branch. The one that led them immediately turned around, his eyes pulsing with sword ki. “Lin Feng, shame of the clan, stop hiding and come out!”
